Audiobook Production Talks in Process

My publisher is contracting with a professional announcer and voiceover artist to narrate my memoir, THE WAY FROM ME TO US, for the Audible version. His name is FR Springer; he has a warm and wonderful voice that I think will be ideal for my memoir.

In addition to audiobooks, he’s done commercial narration, sports, gameshow announcing and singing. He’s also done live announcing for the Rose Bowl Parade (he lives in Pasadena). In fact, he was dubbed “the man with the golden pipes behind the Rose Bowl Parade” in a 2019 city magazine article.

Best of all, he likes the book. “Great writing! A beautiful piece!” he wrote earlier today, with a microphone emoji 🎀and πŸ’• next to it.

Anyway, we’ve just started the process. I ‘ll be putting together production notes for him, including preferences in tone, pacing, style and character voices. This is ALL NEW TO ME … but it’s exciting and I know it’s going to be fun.

  1. That’s great! However, as I read your book, I only hear the voices of you and Ted πŸ™‚
