My Book Stays in Top 100 LGBTQ+ Memoirs

THE WAY FROM ME TO US is in its second week on Amazon Kindle’s list of top 100 sellers in the LGBTQ+ memoir category. Whoo-hoo!

At #70, I’m between the poet Richard Blanco’s bio and the reminiscences of Oscar Wilde by Andre Gidé. Not a bad place to be.

It’s difficult to have perspective on Amazon’s other ratings for my memoir, which was published June 1. The paperback edition of my book is ranked 47,787 in all book sales, 2006 in memoir sales. I haven’t a clue if that’s good or bad.

But for the Top 100 in a given category, we get to see a list showing all the book covers with links to the books’ pages on Amazon … so the ranking is a bit more tangible.

Still, it’s just a number.

What I’m really thrilled about is the reviews on my book’s Amazon page. There are five of them now … and they’re all five stars.

Thank you all for your interest. I hope you like the book and, if you’re so inclined, you might also post your thoughts on Amazon.

I’d love to see them.

Happy reading!
